One of the few happy moments on our way home from Piggott...I hope he grows into liking his car seat because he doesn't have much choice!
We love this part of Arkansas because it reminds us so much of simpler times. It seems as if time has stopped in this small, southern town very reminiscent of a Faulkner novel. Everytime I'm in Piggott, the southern novel that I've been itching to write just wants to jump out on the page.
Ernest Hemingway married a local Piggott girl and had a writing studio here.

He loved playing with Jay and Shayla. He seemed to understand the concept of rolling the ball from one person to another.

Grandpa Bo and one of his delicious tomatoes. We heard some wonderful stories and memories of when he grew up during the Depression. How he hopped trains and got the name Hobo, and now he goes by Bo, his shenanigans of when he was a kid (he got in trouble ALL the time), and other stories that we love to hear. Our generation has no idea of what poverty means until we hear his generation's experience of it.

He's got this bolted down!

Grandpa Bo's plant stand. He has sold a lot of plants this year!

Cindy & Grandma Josie

Grandma Josie and Gavin have the same complexion.

Grandpa Mike and Gavin.

It's bath time! He's so long and getting too big for this tub. He also has found his wee. HA! He's going to hate this blog when he gets older.

Auntie Sarah's dog, Lily. They have so much fun together!

He's the official DAR baby for our chapter. All the ladies love him and he will even be featured in the state yearbook. Our chapter won an award for being the most baby friendly in Arkansas thanks to lil G!

In his spiderman PJ's. These are 18 months. He looks like a toddler in this picture!!!

Gavin's first hike to the waterfall at Tanyard Springs.

We found a little bird in the birdhouse on our hike.

Blake got a workout carrying a 22 pound baby and a 10 pound backpack. Now he knows what it feels like to be pregnant!

First time to hold his own sippy cup. He hasn't quite got the hang of it yet.

Hanging out with Uncle Ken.
