Merry Christmas Eve!

But, of course, it's the cuteness that keeps you going.... :) If I got more than 2 or 3 hours of sleep at a time I could do anything! hah! I thought we were on a good streak of 5 or 6 hours but that seems to have changed.
I don't even care about being tired because I know that pretty soon he's going to be a big boy and I'm going to miss him being a baby...I really feel like we are cherishing every moment. Even the sleepy ones.....

It's Christmas Eve and it's raining...a very heavy rain that will soon turn into snow! I hope that Gavin's first Christmas is a white Christmas! Tonight Blake and I will exchange ornaments. We have had this Christmas Eve tradition for the past 4 years. I found an ornament that we can decorate together so this year that's what we'll do.

Tomorrow we'll go to Grandma & Grandpa Raybon's for Christmas dinner and gifts. We'll stop by my mom's too. Saturday we're leaving for Gavin's first road trip! We'll be going to Mississippi to visit his great-g-ma, PawPaw & Nana. There will be lots of family there for him to meet. We might try to go to New Orleans on our way home, but we'll just have to see how the drive down there goes. I would love to go because the weather is so nice there right now.

We have so much to be thankful for at Christmas. We have a baby this year that is the most wonderful gift! Along with Jesus' birth, I can't think of anything more perfect.

He's such a good baby :)

Gavin has been sleeping in his crib at night. We are ecstatic about this. hah! I finally can spread out in my bed and not sleep upright anymore. We're starting to figure out his sweet lil' personality and he is so much fun. The only times he cries are if he's hungry, wet, bored or if you wake him up from his nap. He gets fussy about once a day. I'm starting to get things down and our schedule is going great.

We are getting ready for Christmas and Gavin's first road trip to Mississippi! There is so much to pack it's ridiculous.

I feel like I can't get everything done that I want to. Wrapping presents, baking, cleaning, mailing pictures, working on his scrap book, going to church..There just isn't enough time in the day and he doesn't like to sit in his swing for more than 30 minutes at a time. Rarely he'll take a nap in it but he usually naps in his crib.

Happy 5 week birthday!

I feel like such a bad blogger. I just can't find the time to commit to this like I want to because when I do have time I'm doing other things.

We're starting to get what I call a "mini schedule". This means that things are slowly progressing to a real schedule. As I type this Gavin is taking a nap in his crib for the first time!! His daddy put him to bed and he has been sleeping for over two hours now. This is good!!! Hopefully he can start taking every nap in his crib and then sleeping there at night soon.

We have gotten a handful of great smiles from him so far. He's absolutely delicious when he smiles!!!

Last night Blake and I went on our first night out without baby. It was a lot of fun and we really needed that reconnect time. We're gonna try to go out at least once a month.

I have pictures to post so I will try, try, try to do that this week.
